This has been in the works for almost two months now, but the MyBB forums now have an official launch date! We'll be launching the new forums on
Monday, November 27, 2017. Expect a few hours of forum downtime during the morning hours of November 27 (morning for Eastern time in the United States, at least). The mainsite will be unaffected during that time, and if you get a hankering for MFGG fun while we're down, you could always check out our Discord chat group.
We're planning to archive the phpBB forums rather than converting the existing posts and accounts to MyBB (for more information, see
this topic).
No information will be lost - you'll still be able to access all of your posts and PMs. The archive will still be hosted on the MFGG server, and we'll make sure that we save some offsite backups, too. Your phpBB badges will be carried over to the new forum if you include your phpBB account ID number in your profile.
If you'd like to see what the MyBB forums will look like, you can check them out
here. You can even register an account, but keep in mind that there's still some construction dust, so you might have to wear a hard hat. (While falling debris isn't a major risk, there could still be some pesky bugs or visual oddities lurking.)
Many details of the current boards are subject to change, so if you have any suggestions or concerns, now would be a great time to share them!
