This topic is relevant if you'd like to see why we're doing upgrading to MyBB. In short, phpBB 3.0.12 is ancient software, and we've found that it's practically impossible to add new functionality to it. We're switching to MyBB so we can move forward with new features, a more modern interface, and better security.
So far, Yoshin and I have done most of the technical work, and Kritter has done most of the work on the skin. We're not done yet, but we've made a lot of progress in a relatively short amount of time. If you'd like to help, go for it! Even if you're not a PHP or CSS wizard, you can always register an account, explore the boards, and comment on the interface and user experience.
