Apparently, campaigning for yourself is perfectly fine here, so I'll go ahead and tell you some reason why you might want to pick me for Best Programmer.
My code is neat, organized and flexible. Adjustments are easy to make, and everything is documented. I don't just speak GML, but am also fluent in C#, constantly expanding my knowledge. Currently working on a commerical level design tool for Unity.
Spoiler:
I managed to make a NES-styled racing engine in Game Maker within just 6 hours. This one uses 2D drawing functions only and maths to give the illusion of 3D.
Spoiler:
I also made a lot of useful scripts for public use you can find in my
scripts topic.
That's enough advertising me for today! If you don't want to vote for me, I encourage you to check out Guinea and TheShyGuy's works - both being very talented programmers that even I can still learn a lot from. I just ask you not get fooled by nice looking games - not everyone capable of using frameworks is a programmer.
