Q-Nova volunteered to update several of the outdated topic icons, since MFGG wasn't exactly flooded with topics specific to the PS3 and the Xbox 360. The PC, Code, and Flash icons also boast an updated logo (although I can't think of a lot of reasons to use Flash these days, so I might retire that one).
MFGG has never had that many people using the current topic icons, so unless it's a feature you love desperately, it probably won't be ported over to the new forums when they open. But for now, it's nice to have some icons that aren't hopelessly outdated.
(If anyone wants to add the new logo for the GM logo, be my guest.)
