Wait, if former main site accounts will be deleted, then what will happen to submissions that are submitted by main site accounts that have no forum accounts? Will they be deleted too or they'll be carried over too, but you can't click on the author's name?

They won't be deleted. You just can't log into them. You have to use the feature to link up your forum account with a mainsite account, which will carry over all of your submissions and comments to your forum account.

I would love to see a new header for the forums and mainsite instead of that "Mario at a computer" thing. I always found that a tad tacky, and the "MFGG" font feels blurry. I feel like a clean slate deserves a shiny and clean look.

There are multiple forum themes, each with their own headers. So you'll be able to use whichever theme + header you choose for the final MFGG3.

Well I mean I would like to see a new [i]default [/i]theme. It's not necessary by any means, I just think it'd be nice. Happy to volunteer my Photoshop skills if needed.

I'd love to see a new default theme. If it doesn't have to do with programming, I'm not really heading it up, but if you guys want to talk about a new theme or try to come up with one it's more than welcome.

Perhaps chuck up a zip file of the CSS, images and so on that were used when you've got everything set up the way you want it on the new forums, and PM it to any interested parties so they can try their hand at a theme. Shouldn't be too hard to replace the default images with something that makes the new place sing.

I see that you're still using the phpBB3 system for the upcoming "new site layout design" (including the forums area); but I do suggest that you still include an option forum skin wise that still includes the "MFGG Default" theme (before the change); if I can recall correctly, I've been used to having this active for years personal preference wise when browsing the forums section of this site (plus, whoever styled it wanted to keep that classic IPB board style look even though the forum software was changed to phpBB3). Just my two cents here.

So, I'm currently just putting forth some effort to convert this pre-made Bootstrap theme for phpBB to the MFGG Default theme (because it's my favorite), then we can just swap out some CSS values for the other themes.

Can't really comment until I see it looking more like an MFGG theme. Also, people can't reply to posts on the Testing Grounds because I think they need admin approval.

Oh yes, what a nice design <3 my only complaint is not related to the webpage, but there is a nasty SQL error in the Captcha, which means I can't register... :/

I quite like how clean it looks, but I'd love to see it in more traditional MFGG colours to compare. Still having it tell me comments need Moderator approval as well.
