Sorry, I guess I lost track of this over some IRL stuff.
Anyway, I think if we ever want to get this started, I'd like to ask for your preferred way of playing Smash in regards to:
Items
Stages
Character Customization
Character Choice
Match mode
because Smash Bros. is a VERY diverse game. Some people want to play only with items, some want to play with only items off, some want to have chaos and some want order, some want stage hazards and some don't and everyone thinks their own way is the right way to play Smash or at least the best way for them to get the most fun out of it.
My favorites are in this order:
1) For Glory style (1-on-1, no items, Omega stages, no customization)
2) For Glory style with items
3) For Glory style on Battle Field
4) Battle Field with Items
What I don't like and why:
Random stages. The stage hazards in Smash 3DS are IMO the most intrusive of the whole series, and I hate having to fight a yellow devil or wingman or whatever during a tournament.
About customization:
I do not customize, but I'm not afraid to fight customized enemies, although I'd prefer, for the sake of balance and fairness, to turn off customizations in a tournament.
About character choice:
Would you like to stick to 1 character for the whole tournament?
Limit it to 2 characters you can choose between?
Free choice for each match?
About match mode:
Would one match in the tournament consist of a single game with 4 stock?
Would you rather have a best-of-3? Are character changes allowed between games if so?
Please answer these questions, then we can reach a consensus on what will be the best compromise so we can all have fun together.
