MFGG is now hiring new Quality Control staffers! If you'd like to apply to become our next QC staffer, answer the following five questions and send them in a PM to the
Director of Human Resources event account:
- Why do you want to become a QC staffer?
- What makes you qualified for this position?
- Can you commit to being reasonably active if you became a QC staffer?
- What was the most recent game you played on MFGG (either on the forums or mainsite)? What did you think about it?
- What do you think about the current standards for quality control? Do you think they're too lenient, too strict, or just right?
We're seeking people who are enthusiastic about helping on MFGG and are responsible and reliable. Good communication skills are important, too. It's nice if you have access to multiple operating systems, multiple versions of Game Maker, and at least one version of a Clickteam development tool, but those things aren't mandatory.
Before you apply, remember that the pay and benefits for MFGG staff aren't as amazing as the movies suggest (junior QC staffers don't even get to
travel to Milan like the admins do), and this job entails quite a bit of work. Don't bother applying if you're planning on checking the queue once every three months. Also, if you're turned down for this position, keep in mind that there's still oodles of things you can do as a regular member to make MFGG a better place.
If you're interested in applying, be sure to send your PM by August 16.
