The News forum has been renamed to the more fitting title [b]News & Events[/b]. If it still has the same forum banner on your end (the one saying only "News"), press F5 to update your cache, or Alt+F5 if that doesn't work. This was done because it fits the purpose of this forum a lot more, and gives us an official place to put events in. Consider that we already had tons of events in here, like Secret Santa, MFGG Awards and others, so it's not really much of a change anyway. With this rename, the purpose is even more clear: everything that's news (like this very topic) will still go in here obviously, and we'll also put all the events in here. This means not only Secret Santa and MFGG Awards etc., but also things like Competitions, Forum Events and other things that have previously been posted in subforums. If anyone has any objections or reasons why this isn't a good idea, please inform us, it's not too late to roll back yet :)

Seems fine to me. Honestly I'm still getting used to the hover descriptions.

A legitimate and perfectly reasonable question Mors! Also, am I the only one who finds those forum banners a total eyesore? Especially with my OCD telling me the General Chat gradient fade isn't as long as the gradients on the other banners? I miss simple text saying "General Chat" and a forum description that wasn't a popup overlay of text that occasionally glitches out.

I agree with Kritter. Even so, shouldn't the forum description also get an update?

Nobody ever seemed to have noticed until today :P How about now? EDIT: They're all exactly the same length now, because I redid them all as vector graphics and only edited the text and image file directly in the source.

I actually like the current banners though I have no problems with simple text banners. EDIT: And that's even better now, Guinea!

Really? We discuss whether we should roll back to text banners now? Anyway, new name is cool. Fits much better and doesn't have the competitions all over the place.
