Yeah... People "campaigning" to receive an award is just... odd. In politics you are trying to get into a position of power in order to (ideally) do the country some good. Being a Senator isn't an award, it's a job. You campaign to prove you can do it. Here? You're being recognized for being something or other. If you were going to be recognized for something, then people already know who you are, would already want to vote for you, and therefore you don't need to "campaign" for their favour. It comes across - to me - as creating a work of art for a competition and then while presenting, including a banner telling the judges they should vote for you.

That's just how I see things.

Falcon Punch is the result of the Sun heating fists. It drives the Blue Falcon. Heating causes destruction of water into the pain, where it then hurts, creating rain. Rain creates flowing water in tears, which can then be converted into other forms through more pain.

Are there "Vote for me for the Oscars" campaigns? If not, it's not appropriate to have such campaigns here either. If you want to bring the game to the attention of people, having just the logo and link in your sig without "vote me" written all over it would be enough.

Besides, if you truly are worthy of a nomination, you wouldn't have to ask for it anyway.

I'm not a big fan of "Vote for me!" campaigns. I understand how a worthy game could be neglected or overlooked, but lobbying can actually be counterproductive by discouraging potential voters from choosing you. If you want to "signal boost," a better course of action is to create quality content and keep people informed of its progress by posting updated demos and screenshots.

My "Stuff You Did in 2013" topic could also be a good place to share a summary of the year's work.

This is pretty much of my 2013 summary. Yet I do think "Vote for Me" is pointless for a 25x25 badge. Also, why did I put vote for me in my sig last year?

I've heard a couple of people asking about who was new in 2013, so here's the list of people who joined in 2013 and made at least 50 posts. Do keep in mind that post count isn't everything, and that Vyro and Fanta (and Supertoad, for that matter) had accounts on older iterations of the forums.

I already sent mine, and I can't change it since it's already viewed. Is it still possible for me to make (minor) changes to my list?

It's all right to make changes to your ballot. Just be sure to include something like "MFGG Awards Nominations - Revised" in the subject line of the PM so it's easy to tell that you're making some changes.

I thought it was dark green mixed with light green emerald, to state the fact of Year of Luigi. Still beautiful though.

I wonder, would it be possible to have a special designed one for the YoL? it'd be kinda silly but it'd be kinda cool at the same time. it could retain the same design as the average MFGG award badge but have like a little 8-bit luigi on it or something.

I was thinking something like this that retains the original base design of the MFGG Award badge-

I guess the staffs can decide which to pick or keep the original.

Well, what I actually wanted to ask was if the staff member who controls the MFGG Awards account could send me back my list, and then I'll edit it, so I don't have to do the whole thing over.

Check your "Outbox" or "Sent Messages" folder, unless you deleted it in there already.
