First of all, you all deserve a round of applause for expressing such an interest in the position. 30 members applied to become MFGG's Next Top Moderator, and I was impressed by both the quantity and quality of the applications. We obviously have a deep pool of members who are enthusiastic about helping out on MFGG, and the other administrators and I had a hard time choosing just one person to fill this role. Since we had so many top-notch applicants, and because many of our current staffers seem to be increasingly busy with action on the real-life front, we're promoting two brand-new staffers to Global Moderator and giving mod powers to a current QC staffer. As such, our winners are... [b]Gameboy[/b], [b]Fujiko[/b], and [b]DJane Coco[/b]! Give them a hand! All three of them have been positive, level-headed contributors on MFGG for quite some time. If you're bummed that you didn't get selected, there's always next time! I'm pretty confident that we'll need some more staff help in the not-too-distant future, after all, and even if you never become an MFGG staff member, there's lots of other things you can do as a regular member to help make MFGG a better place. Just to eliminate any possibility of confusion, the reason we're promoting these people is not because we have a problem with frequent rules violations or ongoing drama. Instead, our current staff - four admins and not a single moderator - was smaller than it's been in many years, and we'd like to have some new people to handle reports and help stimulate our sometimes-sleepy competitions. Don't expect these promotions to result in any sweeping changes, but we do hope they'll help make MFGG a better place.

Given the nature of how one of them handled a certain situation and their views on it seemed to be on the opposite side of the rules for the sake of "good critique", I don't know whether or not this is good news to be honest but congratulations all the same you guys!
