I don't think that was the gyst of what everyone was realy saying. Your "joke" was really shallow and I don't think many people picked up on it as a joke immediately (myself included). It seemed more like an inside thing between your buddies and without any context it was hard to tell if it was a joke or not, especially with the emotionless text. I'm not sure if everyone else feels this way, but I just wanted to clear up my mindset.

Perhaps it'll be best if the announcement gets its own topic, and that'll be whenever it be. Try to contain your excitement in the meantime if you can summon the strength to do so. Such a spectacular level of enthusiasm shouldn't be exhausted all at once.
