I'm certain PW/MM will get the majority of the awards, but I'm hoping Paper Bowser World 3 gets at least one.

It's fair as is. If a game is good enough to deserve a nomination in multiple fields then thats how it is. Limiting things to a single field is actually unfair in a sense.

If all games are limited to one win per year, that means that the amount of categories equals the amount of winners. That means that with 30 categories, we'd have 30 winners and that would make winning an MFGG award way too easy. Also, such a system might promote laziness, as people would start focusing their entries on only one category, and win that one for sure. Instead, everyone should aim to win as many MFGG Awards per year as possible, that will in the long run lead to the better games, too.
