I'm not a man of many words, so here goes the topic, since today is the day.
Precisely 10 years ago, Thunder Dragon wrote the very first news entry on
Ye Olde MFGG.
Starting as a little site which just collected some resources and games submitted via e-mail, MFGG started to gather interest and evolve to what we know now.
The main site is the heart piece of the site, delivering the best that Mario fangaming has to offer, and this forum is a nice addition, which gives the chance to develop a fangame centered community.
Most websites don't even last 10 years. But what has been built up back then is still here, and thus, congratulations MFGG.
I hereby declare the following month the 10-Year-Anniversary Month.
This is also the time to inform yourself a little bit about our past, since most of you are relatively new.
For that purpose you could e.g. go to
the MFGG Wiki (no guarantee on the correctness of facts).
Celebrate, and enjoy the little things that get made for this.
Such as:
-
The MFGG 10th Anniversary Time Capsule, contains 11 classic games from 2006 and older.
-
30 Games Worth Playing, a list of 30 cool games that MFGG members have produced over the past 10 years, revealing a new game every day.
-
Waligie & The Political Machine, the next in the Waligie series, the one every one has been looking forward to, even though it wasn't expected!
-
MFGG Legends in interviewsConducted by VinnyVideo, includes interviews of members who've been on the boat for some time and interviews of people who had disappeared for ages but VV found them.
So, if anyone has prepared any speeches or games or other anniversary gifts, post them here.
Happy Anniversary, and thank you all who have made this possible!
