Hello again fellas! It's been a long time since I've done anything, and since I am the winner of the last competition, I will make the theme nice and simple. We've earned five entries! Woo!

The theme for this competition is, Highland Levels.

These are the levels set in a rocky, high place, where any slip can lead to instant death in the rocks below. Towering cliffs and peaks, falling rocks and debris will threaten our favorite plumber here. Your mission is to recreate that intense, yet beautiful atmosphere. Any type of music can be used, be it singing, instrumentals, or even both!

I'd recomend making it a month, since most music comps end up taking much longer. (We're halfway through the year and we're only on Music Comp 5), I would join in by I'm hopless when it comes to working with FL Studio. So I'm going to stick with tinkering with my engine.

I don't get the theme.

How is highlands supposed to sound? I assume something like World 6 of NSMBW? Can you give an example please?

There are quite a few examples out on the internet. However, I learned FL Studio by messing around with all of the sounds and fancy modules, plugins, etc. It may take a while, but eventually you can come up with some great sounds. :agree:

This is what I have sofar:

I need feedback on it, I honestly don't think it fits Highland theme but I'm not the best at judging music.
PS. It's 8-bit WIP.

Edit: Removed it to redo it.

Finished my them, since the two sounded similar, I made them one song, I like the result.

Nice job. Keep in mind, however, that the maker matters more than the medium when music is concerned! As DJ Y mentioned recently, there's lots of ways you can make quality music.
