Finally got around to playing all the entries. I'm going to vote for Syaxamaphone.

Uh, bigpotato, when you are voting, you are supposed to vote for your top five favorite entries (or in this case, vote for the five entries, since you can't really vote for yourself) in the top five voting phase. Voting for your favorite entry is only available when final voting is up (which is when after top five voting ends, or when a competition has no more than five entries).

What's the point of going through top 5 if only one entry will get eliminated?

I second this actually. It seems kind of mean to eliminate just one. Why not just go straight to the regular voting and just give everyone top 5?

Top 5 badges would not, by definition, represent the top five if you gave them to everyone in a competition of six people.

Knowing full well that this will ruin the sanctity that is images/badges/mct.png, I choose to push forward with this innovative idea to skip a vote that will kick out a single participant.

Hm, yeah, I agree about that we should skip top five voting. Sure, it would make the top five badges not top five badges if you were to give it to 3rd-6th participants, but it seems kind of rather cruel to remove just one entry. Though, maybe we should tell the staff about that first, and see what they think, before we do the skip.

So... my oversight and subsequent erroneous action may or may not become the correct action in this particular situation through no effort on my behalf? I must be clairvoyant!

Even if the Top 5 voting seems redundant in a group of six participants, one person has to be eliminated. The Top 5 badge isn't a consolation prize for everyone that missed the top 2 ranks and I am strictly against the idea of expanding it to six people in such a situation.

I'd be more open to making the Top 5 badge a third-place badge given the tiny number of participants in a usual competition.

Why not just not give a badge to the person with the lowest amount of votes? You're all making it more complicated than it needs to be.

Seems silly to drag this on for any longer. Voting should've started two days ago; we can't be this indecisive.

Just do Top 5 voting as normal.

Just go with the top-5 vote. It's as the rules stand currently, that if there are more than 5 entries, then the top 5 need to be selected.
and the extra entry needs to be eliminated. It's been like this for quite some time, and nobody has been exempt from it to this point.

if there is a tie, that's another story, otherwise, the top-5 need to be selected in order to proceed in the comp.
If nobody votes, that voids the competition., and nobody gets any badges.

Can you read?
It's been clearly stated you should commence with the top 5 voting in the past few posts.

vote for me 5 times

Also I vote for everyone except me I guess. It would be funny if I'm the only person who votes and I get kicked out because of this.
