It's been quite a few days since top five voting started, so I think we can now start final voting. Here's the results for top five voting: DJ Coco - III bigpotato - III Mr. Yosbert - III Brain Eno/Friendly Dictator - II Syaxamaphone - II Q-Nova - II It seems that all of the six entries made it in this competition. One day is usually the time span for final voting, so I think that means you can vote for your favorite entry, until September 23 ends. |

It was a fairly tough close-call between FD's and Yoshbert's. FD's amused me far greater, but Yoshbert's held my attention for far longer I'm gonna go with Yoshbert ultimately, to keep things interesting |

Here it comes: Dungeon Game by bigpotato Visually I think its pretty spot on. The graphics are nice and I like the idea of a scanline filter even if it feels a bit heavy. It was simple to figure out and offered a quick bit of entertainment for a few minutes. I would love to maybe see the idea expanded upon when you're not required to only have one screen. Mario Pong by Friendly Dictator A completely regular game of pong with luigi. One Block Less by DJ Coco It's a very interesting take on the single screen limitation. Having the blocks shift around to form new levels was a good call. My biggest complaint is the simplistic graphics, it would have been great to see a little more character put into the game, considering how much time was left after completing the game. Gameplay wise my only complaint is that you go straight to the beginning if you fail. Fight Tennis by Mr. Yoshbert Another regular game of pong with luigi. Now you have items. Why is everyone making pong games??? While the AI is a bit wonky, it's still really neat. The items are all unique and interesting enough to keep them all relevant. I love all the polish that Yoshbert was able to jam in in such a short period of time. Battle in the Future by Q-Nova Since you're fighting a rectangle, maybe this one isn't done yet? It was certainly an interesting boss fight. I love the non-rectangle parts of the art. Final Boss EX by Syaxamaphone An absolute joy to play. Stellar art, great waifus, 10/10 would make again! I thought every game brought something different and interesting to the table so this was a really difficult choice for me. In the end I'm voting for DJ Coco's One Block Less. |

Nice to hear that you liked the actual art that is found in the game, and how interesting you found the boss fight to be. Thanks for the little review of it! Anyway, it seems that a bit over a day has passed since final voting started, so I think we can now end it. I think it'll be up when the winner decides to do it, which should hopefully be soon. If the winner takes too long to do start the next competition, then it'll be up to someone else, which is usually the runner-up (or in this case, the runner-ups, or one of them, I'm not sure), when it comes to starting the next competition. We'll just have to wait and see what happens for now on, I guess. |
