Congradulations to the winners of the last comp,
Since Jeff hasn't made a new topic and it's been around 2 weeks, I've gotten permission from the staff to start a new comp.

The comp theme is:

Same rules as always for the compos,

and the comp ends in a week, or at 6:12pm EST on August 11th.

How is making a game that involves wario too limiting, honestly, you just have to do is involve wario and that's it. I really don't see how this is so limiting.

Actually yeah, I'd say it's not limiting enough. You're basically saying "make literally anything but the main character has to be Wario".

But eh, whatever. I already got an idea.

Does the main character HAVE to be Wario, or can it be anyone from the Wario series of games (Wario Land/World/Ware, etc.)?
I'd really dig a minigame starring Pyoro, but if the theme is literally just Wario as the main I dunno what to do with it.

Have you thought about using this sprite sheet: http://www.mfgg.net/index.php?act=resdb ... 1&id=26195 ? For some reason, any sprite sheet that doesn't have Wario perpetually grinning looks horrendously wrong to me.

Well if I did use those, they would clash horribly. I'd have to completely update the PM64 graphics to TTYD/SPM...

It's time to go on a treasure hunt! A WARIO treasure hunt! But not just any WARIO treasure hunt; it's a treasure BOMB hunt! This desert cavern's got tons of tiny, tiny micro-stages, but you gotta complete each one before the bomb goes KABOOM, kapeesh? And even if you manage to complete it before the bomb blows, you'll get a shrimpy SILVER one if you didn't do it fast enough. Don't settle for silver! Go for gold! Go for GREED!

(because silver bombs are worth only one point whereas gold ones are worth two, and you need points to access the sets of stages)

(There's no reward for successfully getting all 60 possible points, though the boss and his final six bombs become accessible at 40)

Controls: A and D or Left Arrow Key and Right Arrow key to move. Space Bar to jump/move up faster, depending on the situation.

EDIT: Oh! An F4 for full-screen, as usual for GM games.

It looks like I won't have enough time to upload, the game is ready, yet it is 3MB, and yes, that's a lot for my internet, specially for uploading, if only the comp lasted more time :(
(after all there's only 1 entry ready until now)
