It was a tough choice, but I chose Merry Springer by Wiiboy4ever over Cloudy Climb by RandomClam because it has more creative gameplay and more gameplay.

Also, taking this post to volunteer to take care of the vote count and stuff when voting is over, if that's alright.

To you mini-game makers using extended mouse controls:
Be aware that you folks taking advantage of the mouse wheel and middle mouse buttons is kind of a :P to laptop users without a built in mouse-wheel / middle button on their touch pad thing or an external mouse. Same thing to folks stuck with really old mice.

Edit: Then again, these extended controls can make for some cool stuff, but still.

:huh: .........I'm speechless.

But honestly, I was originally going to use keyboard controls for my game as a substitute for the mouse, but I actually forgot all about that while I was making the game. *doh* I'll try to remember to keep in mind what you said for next time.

awesome job on the entries, guys... except for Para Bowser, that one was way too simply programmed


my vote's with Nite here


Wiiboy's was a cool concept, but never had any reason for me to play it again past... once
RandomClam did have that repetition value, however just felt like there could have been more
Jimn had a good minigame, but either make the window bigger, Mario more to the left, or the game slower, because there's no way to figure out your jumps - i know there's trial and error (and when you make music, there is a LOT of this), but i'm not a fan of having to do it in a game over and over to the point where the game is probably only 5 minutes long but becomes 2 hours and 55 minutes worth of just dealing with the same crap over and over

ParaBowser is really, really boring and the movement is really awkwardly done.

Mario Cloud Runner's concept is interesting and it seems like it could be a genuinely good game but having to wait for seconds after failing is way too annoying and the game progresses way too fast.

Skies of Darkworld is graphically very good with its faux "Mode 7" effect and the gameplay is fine too. It could have a little bit more variation on the background graphics, though.

Cloudy Climb is uninteresting because you don't really "do" anything in it, you just move to line up with the clouds. And I'm not sure if it's a fault on my end or what but I can't read the first 4 or so entries on the scoreboard at all. Did you even test it?

Merry Springer seems quite fine too but I can't get Sonic to move horizontally at all which kind of breaks the game. Would help if I knew what to do (yes, I've read the help file).


I think I'll vote for Skies of Darkworld.

Yes. Use the mouse wheel upwards to angle the spring left, then place the spring with the left mouse button. Sonic will then jump to the left. Scroll more to angle it even more to the left, and Sonic will jump further to the left when he lands on the spring. The same applies to the mouse wheel being scrolled down and Sonic moving to the right.
