As the days are getting colder and colder, shorter and shorter and christmas is almost here, its time for another drawing competition.
The theme, fitting the time: "Draw your favourite nintendo characters in a christmas/Winter setting"

So to recap:

Theme: "Draw your favourite nintendo characters in a christmas/Winter setting"

So, basically it has to be my favorite Nintendo characters? Then I have no choice but to draw Lucina and Meta Knight because they are my favorites. But I doubt I'll win. I bet people in this forum aren't fond of Lucina or Meta Knight but I'll enter anyway because it's fun.

So, are we basically drawing them in winter gear, with winter stuff (like skis), and/or being "winter-fied"? I can't really understand what do you exactly mean, Benstar. But, if it is what I'm thinking, then it sounds interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing what will people make for this.

Basically it just has to do something with winter/snow/christmas, you decide :D But you could do that, based on that it has something to do with winter/snow

Well, I wish I had more time to dedicate to this than a possibly never-finished rough painting, but I am a busy boo.

Spoiler:

Consider this a WIP, unless I don't post an update--then it's my final entry. All depends on how much I get done.

I'm sure you are...

Anyway, I could probably draw something really quick for this competition by having it double as an art trade for one of the talented artists over on Starman.net. Besides, working in a winter theme wouldn't be that hard.

Could you stop being so passive aggressive with Black Boo?
I won't hesitate to hand out a warning next time.

Been working hard on a great entry ever since this comp started. I have a question though. Can I make some sort of alternate entry? It will be basically the same entry but I want to give it a cool frozen effect but the original entry without the frozen effect should count as well. The thing is, people may prefer one or the other and I want to try both things ^^

Your newest entry will count at the end of the competition, not both. sorry but that would be unfair :/

Uhh, why are you saying that? In the comp SAB won, he made 2 separate drawings and both were counted. Having multiple drawings as entries is always allowed. In my case its not even 2 separate drawings, its the same but one of the two versions features a special frozen effect, so it should be perfectly allowed. I already knew this was fair but I had to ask you to test if you were aware of this, to avoid having problems in the future. I hope you get my point, so think wisely ^^

In my experience from the days of yore, you could make as many entries as you wanted, at least in sprite competitions. I suppose it's moreso whether or not you want to put forth the effort to make multiple drawings or not.

Speaking of which...

Spoiler:

Figure I'll develop my concept a bit more. Not sure if I'll actually go anywhere with this beyond the sketch, but I like this more than the original painting.

That's a pretty nice drawing so far. I like your style since it is kinda similar to anime style except for the eyes. I can tell you have been drawing for a long time, unlike me. I do have talent like you but I'm still rather unexperienced because I've been making apparently decent drawings only for a few months or less. You have my respect for that. I have to practice lots more if I want to be as skilled as you are. Also thanks for helping me get my point across~

Good boy *pats*

My entry will be finished when... dunno exactly. There's still a lot to work on it because it's big. But I'll keep trying!
