Mario can break bricks with ease in his world, but how well would that go if he was in ours? Do you think Kirby ever gets sick from all the food (and creatures) he eats? Link must have a hard time trying to carry all the treasure he finds around Hyrule, so why not emphasize it?

DRAWING COMPETITION #3-2015: REALISM

For this competition, you should:

POKE FUN AT ASPECTS FROM CERTAIN GAMES THAT WOULDN'T WORK IN OUR WORLD

You can find the general rules to drawing competitions here. You have until May 7th to submit your work, hopefully enough time to make something great! It's over! Congrats to Jazz!

i think there's actually a comp rotation now. i might be wrong but the next drawing comp might not be for a while

This theme sounds interesting. Probably going to make something for this.

As far as I'm aware there's nothing that says that it's going to be a while before the next competition. Guinea made a competition schedule but that hasn't been updated since August.
I also checked the latest version of the rules and I pretty much have to make a competition within 2 days of the previous one ending.

Or maybe it does say it somewhere and I'm an epic dumb.

Could a mod step in here and sort things out, please?

As far as I know competitions happen simultanously again, so yeah, this should be fine.

The theme sounds neat, but I have a question. Does it really have to be some aspect from a Nintendo game? Because I have an idea for my entry, but it takes an aspect from a Mario fangame.

EDIT: Never mind about the question, I thought of something else that I think most people didn't even think about it.

Sorry for the double post, but...

Mario can enter pipes, and he can enter ones that include piranha plants, yet, he doesn't get hurt. I think this is how it would work in real life (spoilred due to size):

I'd say as long as it has Nintendo-related material in it it's fine. You can also do non-Nintendo media, but try to do something Nintendo-related.

Question: Should it be realistic LOGIC, or realistic DETAIL? Or both?

There should be realistic LOGIC, but you can have realistic DETAIL if you want.

I don't have any problem with multiple competitions going at once, especially since the current Super Competition doesn't require a drawing component.

Since I know that pixel art is allowed, I decided to make another entry (yes, this is the real one) with that style.

So, anyone remembered Influrrno from Toadette Strikes? Now fight him again, and notice the fire on him. If that's a snowman monster on fire, then shouldn't he be defeated already? It might work in that fangame, but what about in reality? Sorry about how jagged the clouds are.

Hahaha, cool -- I guess TSB2-themed entries are a thing now? ;P I suppose you also noticed that I have a thing for placing Fire-themed bosses underwater, despite the fact that such a thing doesn't go over so well for Influrrno. Rationale in Mario games, indeed!

This sounds like a fun theme, but I'm not sure I'll have time to enter, what with the other illustration-related jobs I have right now. Likewise, I couldn't enter the last one, despite having a very clear idea (male Samus crawling, if you must know). So I'll just pass on my "morph ball-related spinal injuries" idea to anyone who wants to steal it. ;D

Is it over?

Good. Looks like this competition wasn't a victim to April Fools, but hopefully we can get more entries now!

I still don't have an idea. I can't think of one image that represents making fun of Video Game logic. All I can think of are long and boring comics and things that are realistic. Would making something realistic rather than the unrealistic, original version count?

I guess I could alter the rules a bit. You can either use realistic logic, or add realistic details to characters.

Well, today is the deadline. There is only one entry (which is made by me), so should we extend the deadline or just end the competition? I would like a deadline extension, because we'll probably get more entries. ;)

I honestly forgot this competition existed so that might be a good idea

I think an extension might be necessary, but I have no idea how much longer it should be for. Maybe a few days after a second entry comes in?
