(i can't post this in the news forum so if a mod could move this that'd be great)

the theme this time around is Super Smash Bros. 4 Posters!

you'll be putting your drawing and designing skills to the test as you design a poster for any character, in smash bros or not. just make sure this character doesn't have a poster already.

a good example is our good friend Greninja, who had a poster drawn by Ken Sugimori.

tldr;
  • design a poster for any character that doesn't already have a poster
  • you can draw in a canvas as big as you'd like, just make sure that the final size is 600x849. that way it looks authentic!

sooooo you've got a week now. that means this ends on August 30th! good luck!! >_o7

Why wasn't this posted by the Event Leader Account? Either way, nice theme I guess, but I think I'll pass since I've never particularly cared for Smash.

i would try to focus the posters one one specific character. you can have multiple characters in each poster, but the focus should only be on one. greninja's is a good example of that.

i'd also avoid using text too, the official posters generally don't have text.

This is my W.I.P. of Daisy... It's not coming out how I wanted it to, so I think I'm going to tweak the lineart and maybe even the pose a little and add daisies in the background. The shading is still incomplete.


EDIT: Now with the flowers and the proper size:

yea. an extension might be in order too if we've only got 3 entries so far, but i'm not 100% sure on that

EDIT: if there's 4 then one more would push it over and we can go straight to final voting
