So yeah, I just ran into the thread when I was lurking around here at the 14th or 15th as I read that this theme is about spriting new characters in classic style so I got started with a short sprite collection right away as an entry. Each sprite took me 30 minutes to finish cuz easy.

C: Drshnaps, DarkZero, and Fleepa for the ripped NES SMB3 sprites' palette. Karate Cat(inspiration on wanting to sprite SMB3 style sprites).

EDIT: My bad for wording it out that sounded like I made this beforehand on this post, I was gonna say I did made this when this comp started to be more clear and to stick with the rules, but I was tired at the time I posted so I may have said something wrong by mistake. I took out a few others I did before this month's sprite comp was made as I just revisit the rules again. The sprites you saw now are the ones I did around the 15th to now while the sprite comp is still running when I heard about it so hopefully that's a fair count.
EDIT2(9/24/17): Just sprited 5 more characters 3 days ago to yesterday and was adding some more finishing touches on Crash today.

I think for Sprite comps you have to made them while the comp was in progress not beforehand. I am just saying this because the wording of your sentence sounds like you made them before hand, and with that long list of characters I probably wouldn't disbelieve that. But if you did make them when the comp started then by all means ignore this post.
