That's what I was trying to go for. Looking at it now, I could've probably just snipped one color from my overall palette and it wouldn't have made that much of a difference.

Did a Bowser's Castle thing to go with the theme. Everything you see are my own assets that I made.

Note 2 - Coin thing is a Roto-Disc though I tried for an alternative pattern, though with those enemies there isnt much you can do with that.

i like those a ton but something bugs me about how much better they look on a dark bg than a light one, i have no idea if anything can be done about that tho.

Also, is a SM64 kind of HUD possible? I thought it could display like the hearts in SMB2 (which I assume are sprites due to transparency?), but is it technically possible?

Not exactly on Mario since I'd check , but Montly Mole do have more than 4. Thanks for pointing it out. I'll change it later.

He looks fine to me, except he is a little tall. Also, I like how you're trying to keep the sprites smooth looking with clear outlines. Also, the slope sprites have 5 colors on the top 4 ones. I would suggest changing the lightest dirt color to the sky color.

The blue-ish colour is used for as a guide to separate the 16x16 tiles, so that I don't mess up the size. But yeah, I'll try tweaking on Mario sprite.

I tried something. Recently I've been trying practice with this perspective.
Overall, I think I may have focused a lil' much on making it look like a real screenshot from the middle of a stage lol
Edit: fixed a few palette issues and touched up on some things in the process

I'm actually not going to enter this, seeing as I'd get blown out of the water clearly. These entries are all amazing, and there are so many! My favorites are Cruise Elroy's and Mors'.
