Post subject:  MFGG Sprite Competition 2 - 2016
Do you remember all these interesting Toads from Paper Mario and Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door? With their cute and funny costumes?
Because this is going to be the theme for this Sprite Competition:

"Create a unique Toad with an interesting costume".

The rules are very simple:
1. It has to be made by you, so don't copy from others!
2. It does not have to be in the Paper Mario art style, choose the one you like the most.

Deadline will be the fifth of july and voting begins the day after!

So have a lot of fun, while thinking about some creative Toad designs :D

I've finished my entry. It's Hextech Toad

Hextech is a portmanteau of hex and technology, they are any mechanical device. This Toad wears a hextech outfit, an outfit made of a rare type of dark blue leather that has hextech claws capable of firing hex beams!

The idea is based off the "cordyceps fungus" a fungus that infects a host and forces them to spread the fungus further. With a type of fungus for almost every type of bug in it's area.

So the idea here is...

...a Mushroom Person is infected with this fungus. Then, depending on the fungus, the Mushroom Person grows unique types of protrusions and begins to blindly walk like a zombie. If the infected Mushroom Person runs into the corresponding fungus host (goomba, koopa troopa) the host will become infected. Then, the host becomes the "factory" producing more infected Mushroom People which then go on to carry out this cycle...

BOOM! the "cordy virus" a Mushroom Kingdom disaster...

Great entries so far!
I decided I might as well try spriting again, and here is mine so far, though I think I'll work on it some more. It's a rich toad woman. I think I want to do something to make her look more pompous, probably by changing the pose and the eyes :agree:

It has been awhile since I posted on MFGG, but when I saw this contest, I thought I could give it a try and join.
(I resized the image because it was 32x32, so I just wanted you guys to be able to see it)

Here's my entry (This is the first time I participate in a forum event):

I call him "Amanitoad" (yeah, I know it's a silly name). He's inspired by the Amanitas from SMRPG. He can be both a friend or an enemy. He has the capability of morphing into a mush, just like Amanitas do. He can also use the same spells that Amanitas use: Sporocyst and Toxicyst. Sporocyst turns a guy into a mushroom when Amanitoad shoots 3 spores at it, while with Toxicyst, it's the same thing, except for the fact that it it doesn't turn guys into a mush, it poisons them: When this happens, the poison slowly starts draining their health until they die.
(I`m still a novice spriter, so sorry if the quality of the sprites isn't the best :( )

Well I also redid my entry, and even if this version is not allowed in, I will probably just post it in my sprite thread.
(I resized it, so it could be seen better)
