Post subject:  Sprite Competition #4 2014 | Sports
Welcome! The theme this week is: Sports!
This time, you'll be spriting any Mario universe character of your choice with any kind of sports gear/equipment.

-Rules-
-Sprite a character with any type of sports related gear(Baseball, football, soccer, tennis etc.). Sports related outfits are optional. It doesn't have to be unique!
-Other sports roles such as referees, announcers/commentators and coaches are allowed.
-Up to four characters per entry allowed. You may only choose one sports theme.
-They can be animated or still.

-Optional-
-Create a scene to go with the character(s) and your chosen sports theme. Such as a playing field, basketball court or even a boxing ring with the character(s) interacting in it.

This competition will end on November 19th, 11:59pm EST

Is it okay to make a sprite of a character who is sporty by default (like a Chargin' Chuck or a Slugger)?

Here's a WIP of my entry. It's mostly based off of the Punchout Referee Mario. Though there are some noticeable differences!

EDIT: I just noticed it has a strikingly surprising resemblance to Big-Five-Oh. I think I'm gonna have to redo the head, but I'll probably keep the body, at least for the most part.

It's not that MPA sprites are small, you are just putting too much details there.

So, even though my older version was built from the ground up, the hair seemed a bit too similar to Big-Five-Oh. This version has completely re-done hair, and some changes to the face.
