I did some of Megman styled sprites

not quite sure how this is limited. you can use 6 colors, and you can sprite any Mario character in existence (excluding Luigi).

I feel you all need a dictionary in your face. This isn't narcisstic. If this is narcisstic, the last compo was narcisstic.
Secondly, this isn't limited in any fashion.
Now, before this turns into a flaming thread, I'm working on a Wario.

Actually, the person last comp may very well have had a love for Luigi. As Mit stated, he wanted to see how other users interpret the style, and this wasn't chosen due to his love of Mega Man. I know very well what narcissism is - I feel you don't.

The theme of the last one wasn't because of Gameboy loving Luigi, it was to celebrate the year of Luigi. I do agree that this is very limiting, because we can only do literally one style. Almost all other comps in the past have had varying styles.

welp I guess I have to further elaborate on this

you have 1 style to use. this even further shows how good each spriter is because they all have the same task. if everyone had the same spriting talent in this comp, everyone would have an equal chance. sprite any one Mario character that isn't Luigi in the style of Mega Man classic. and that's not just Rock. this counts as Mega Man classic style. all of these are in the Mega Man classic style. step out of your comfort zones and show everyone what you can do as a spriter. the only limit you have are the colors you can use.

I added poses and detail. The wand is the power up, haven't made the power down mode yet. Also, the magic needs some work (I think it looks ugly). Tell me what you think (if you want to). :)

there are juuust enough colors in mine. I counted the black bits of the face as the outline, hence why the charge palettes have his eyes change color too.

I get that. there are 3 colors for the face, and 3 for the body.

the black, green, and blue parts are the body. the face color, the pink (nose) and white are a part of the face.
