Congrats to Shouty for coming in second and everyone else who made top 5.

Whats the theme, they won't cause you loses, the theme this time is Yoshi's Story Bosses (and minibosses).

Yup, the rhyming big baddies from the overly easy yet oddly addictive N64 game Yoshi's Story. You can sprite any boss EXCEPT Baby Bowser. He's too regular, the theme this time is to go for some of the more off the track baddies.


Heres your options:
Slug
Cloud N. Candy
Inviso
Cloudjin
Don Bongo
Bone Dragon

And yes I know that Slug and Bone Dragon are essentially slightly strong enemies but they are close enough.

Only restrictions is that you have to at least attempt to have it match an official style. Paper Mario, Pokemon, M&L, Metroid, ect. Doesn't matter what style, jsut as long as it's from a real game. Doesn't have to be perfect though.

Comp ends in 2 weeks (no point being 1 since MFGG is a bit slower now).

I like this theme, especially since this list includes a lot of underappreciated baddies who haven't been sprited before. I might even enter this time!

Oh, awesome, Yoshi's Story. Good theme.
I'm definitely in this one.

By the way, Chaoxys, I think you accidentally typed "Yoshi's Island" instead of "Yoshi's Story" on the third line.

I feel like joining this one, and not to be a smartass but did you mean etc. or ext.? I don't know what ext. could mean except external. Btw is it alright to change a few things such as the face on Cloud 'n' Candy?

Same as etc, I just have a habit of misspelling it due to, the first time I wrote I, I sounded out "etcetera" and ended I knew the abbreviation had a t in it so I ended up with ext.

Anyways, you don't have to make extra frames, just a base sprite. Of course making extra frames can only serve to help you.

I think that's because it was an attachment . I will change it when I update my sprite.

If it's SMB3 NES style, it needs to have way less colours.
Remember, 8-bit means only 3 colours.

I thought eight bit meant 8 colors per screen, 4 colors per sprite and the transparent doesn't count (black). So Its fine, I used pink, green, yellow and white + transp. black.

That's not really how it works since it has more to do with the 8x8 squares the "sprites" were made from. I guess technically yours works even though it breaks the rules, since developers layered images to cast the illusion of a single sprite with more colors. Still, I don't think your sprite fits the parameters of the competition rules. I'd ask the host.
