The current demo boasts two worlds and four power stars. If you want to collect all of these power stars, you'll be traveling through different periods of time! When you collect a power star, you'll receive a rank based on your score for that level. In addition to collecting these power stars and trying to get a A rank for every mission, you can hunt down green stars in each level. Super Mario Flashback contains some nice sprites and fluid animations, along with some impressive shader effects. The soundtrack consists of Can of Nothing's lovely remixes of existing Mario tunes, which felt familiar and yet fresh. Finally, the game contains some quite memorable level design! While it may be a demo, this will be keeping you playing for some time, especially if you want to achieve an A rank for each of the power stars and to gather all six green stars. I can't wait to see the full version of this game!
