Speed Strife builds upon its predecessor, Blazing Wheels, by using a wide selection of true 3-D models. Speed Strife is a full-featured Mario Kart fangame, and a 3-D game as well - two things that you don't see very frequently on MFGG. The game boasts an impressive selection of characters and tracks. Eight characters are accessible at the start of the game, along with four additional characters that can be unlocked by winning a gold trophy in each cup. You can race at 16 different courses, most of which are inspired by existing tracks from various Mario Kart games. However, there are a few new concepts as well, including a beehive in the jungle and a Japanese village. The game also includes a nice selection of game modes. You can play in the Grand Prix, which allows you to race in one of the four cups. You can also try out Time Trials, which allows you to race alone in a race track, trying to beat your record times. There's also VS Mode, which lets you run a number of races in your own set of rules. Mario Kart: Speed Strife is a fun way to drive through some time, and I'd love to see more features added to it, especially multiplayer.
