It's about time that this Austrian MFGGer added a fifth GOTM to the trophy case! Sonic Hexacide is the first Sonic fangame to win a GOTM award on MFGG, and it's one of the best 3-D fangames we've seen on MFGG. DJ Coco is one of a handful of MFGGers to be active in 3-D fangame development, and it's nice to see fangames advancing to the next level. The game's levels are modeled as a cylinder, just like in Sonic Lost World. Each zone has two acts, as well as a boss battle, all of which are none other than the evil Dr. Eggman! Each level has five Red Star rings, which adds to the replay value. Most of the rings are hard to find and collect, so you'll be playing this game for quite a while if you want to beat the game 100%. Sonic Hexacide also boasts some impressive graphical effects and a solid soundtrack. Best of all, legend has it that DJ Coco is working on another 3-D Sonic fangame!
