My current goal is to get at least 2 tiles per world in which I will have an orange pipe linking to the next world (like the world skipping pipes from SM3DL). Each pipe hinting to the next world, so in this case, the grassland's pipe will have sand coming out of it.

also, the palette will be expanded as time goes on, so if that's not enough colors (which currently I don't really think it is, though I can't think of any more colors to add atm), more will be added eventually

this is an awesome idea!

Can the collabs have more than one of the same character on it or is it supposed to seem like a scene? (like more than one Mario, Bowser, or Luigi or something).

oh yea, definitely. just try not to have a whole ton of Marios and Luigis in one area (I think one Mario/Luigi/Peach/Toad per world works best)

Generally Collabs can use more than one of the same character. I was actually thinking of this earlier and I thought it'd be neat to limit each world to having 1 Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad (in honor of SM3DW), and in each world, they have a different power up.

Grass- normal
Desert- Cat
Water/ice- Boomerang(?)
Mountain- Tanooki
Bowser's Castle- Fire Flower

Ah, looks like Mit had the same idea. If we do have 1 of each per world, we should probably have people be able to claim them, and only if they have an actual idea, not just "I call Mario just because I want to be the guy who did it first!"

maybe the ice areas of the water/ice area could have that Kuribo's Skate seen in 3D World trailers?

EDIT: also, should i keep my tile the way it is with Mario in it, or switch it to like Luigi or something, then Drag could make Mario slide down his flagpole?

Well I was thinking that, but it would be awkward to have the skate on underwater, where as you could easily place Boomerang Mario in the skate, but idk, whatever works best I guess.

@ Novak- I think you may have missed the point of the theme. It's to make something themed to SM3DL/W. You took ripped/edited sprites and slapped them onto your squares, and they don't seem to have much of anything to do with the theme. SM3DL (and world as far as we know) didn't have Micro Goombas or Goombas with sticky shoes. Plus, maybe it's jsut me, but I think for something like this, using custom graphics would make more sense seeing as it's meant to be themed to a specific Mario game, and using graphics from another Mario game seems to defeat the purpose.

EDIT- if we are allowed to call character, then I'm calling Peach for world 1.

33 is claimed by Novak

EDIT: I'm going to claim 23

Funny, I think he posted at the same time as me.

For now, I guess I'll just take 14 and 18.

All I'll say is that I hope this collab is a bit more... organized. The last one, to be fair, had a more abstract theme, so it's fine, I'm jsut saying I hope that we don't have random holes in the air any what not. Basically, I'm saying that I hope people will work with the other people's spots so that they blend and look connected, instead of trying to make your spot super different (and not in a good way) in an attempt to stand out.

Drag/Cat's not on right now, so you'll have to wait.

Would anyone be against he idea of, in each world, if we use the same designs on specific parts? To make it more clear as to what I'm saying, I'm looking at the pieces we have now and I'm noticing that the varying grass patterns, although good on their own, look awkward when put together. So should we just have a consistent grass in this case to keep the flow going? If so then I vote for Mits (it looks nice).
