You are allowed to bump sticked topics, so there's nothing wrong with that

Besides, this collab wasn't gonna be restarted any other way apparently.

I personally think that we should start doing smaller collabs to accommodate for the smaller active userbase because this isn't even halfway done and it started over a year ago

I'm going to assume so. It's practically a spin-off of the Mario 3D games. Same characters, similar setting, identical graphical style.

I'd join in but to be honest I really haven't played either 3D Land or World much. Every time I try I just get kinda bored, and I can't adjust to the 8-directional movement (analog is just way better, the wiimote ruins everything.)

Has there been an attempt at a FANGAME collab besides Midas Machine? I would like to see a fangame collab more then a spriting collab. I would say to scrap this now and end it.

If you are talking about community collaborations, we did have Super MFGG Bros. before it split off to another game (MFGG TKO). If not, there are numerous collabs that are in-progress that aren't even a degree close to being Midas Machine's.
(Coin Chaos, SMW: All-Star Edition, Super Mario Crusades, Mario's Timeless Picross, Luigi and the Quest for Nothing 2, to list). Not every fangame collabs' development need be public news might I add.

Plus it isn't your call to go make the decision to go scrap a current collab in-progress.

ATTENTION! I am in need of coders to help fix Mario's physics for Mysterious Islandz. The game as it stands, is quite glitchy. If you are good at GM8 and is capable of reading FDE Exi's code, PM me!

This is true. That would be CatezeeY's decision.

Are tiles still open to claim, or is this project scrapped?

The project has no deadline, so you're free to claim tiles still

You know, I just beat 3D World but for the life of me I can't think of anything interesting to do with it. It's got a great style but compared to other games we've based collabs on the level design is simpler and has less standout locales. That and the layout of the collab is rather flat, so it feels like a lot of this is just "make a ground texture, add objects."

Maybe I'll think of something though...

the palette is way old and in all honesty if he added colors they're better off being added to the master palette anyway.

The rules of the isometric collab are the following.
  • Post in this thread a max of 3 of the available tiles from it.
  • You can pick only tiles from the unlocked world.
  • If you finished a tile, post if on the thread and we will "glue" onto the image.
  • You'll have to use colors from this pallete, you can add your own colors too.

So yeah, I used the pallette, but I also added my own colors to add effects and anti-aliasing.

I agree. The size of this particular collab is a little... overwhelming.

While that plays a factor (a small active userbase), I am going to digress there because I do not believe the size of the collab is the problem. I find it that the hosts of this collab, who are CatezeeY (Gatete) and Mit...they aren't showing interest with a continued maintenance with this collab, which is why there is such little to no contribution to this collab since 2014 (and there wasn't that many contributions in that year either). If they (hosts) want to have this collab finished and to renew interest, they should be actually contributing a graphic to this collab to set a precedent for others to contribute.
