Mushroom Pancakes by Supertoad2kNearly a decade ago, one of MFGG's founding members vanished, seemingly disappearing off the place of this planet. No one had heard from him since. Then, one glorious January day, Supertoad2k returned with his magnum opus: Mushroom Pancakes, alternatively known as "Mario Grows A Beard: The Strongest Coffee Mug" and "Battle of the AGES! Luigi vs. The Martians! Yoshi vs. Windows 3." Of all the games I've ever played - including professionally-made productions - few achieve the hyperactive and off-the-wall, yet good-spirited, humor that saturates the entire game. However, Mushroom Pancakes isn't just a joke game - the gameplay is fun and is loaded with innovative gameplay elements, like a giant flying can of WD-40 that lets you harness the power of household lubricants to defeat enemies! The unique, charming graphical style contributes greatly to the experience. If you have the slightest tolerance for random-ish humor, you should drop whatever you're doing and give it a try! Unless it's eating nachos, of course - if you're munching those, you're welcome to finish them before you play this game, especially if you bought your nachos using euros.
January 2013 was our most active month for game submissions in years, and I'd like to give an honorable mention to some other great games that missed out on the January award, like Wario vs. Windows, Galaxy Troopas, and Wrecking Crew: Double Demolition (
and my very own update of Aventura de Luigi). Keep up the good work!
