So basically, DragezeeY and I were discussing a fun little thing we did from back in the day here on MFGG: the isometric collaborations! What are those, exactly? Well, let me consult the wiki's article to give you a brief summary of it,
Quote:
Members could reserve up to 3 squares at any given time on an isometric grid created by one member. The eventual goal was to fill the entire three-dimensional array to create a single largescale pixelart image.
These were a lot of fun to do in, even if occasionally we ran into problems, they were generally a nice community project that resulted in something to look back on. Now, what am I getting at here? Well, with some positive reaction from a couple of MFGGers, DeeY and I decided to bring it back!
Let's get started, shall we? The theme this time around is the fangames of MFGG! Your entry must have something closely to do with any fangame on MFGG's mainsite! Any you want, although I discourage doing your own if you can help it, but nothing's really stopping you XD
Now, what are the rules of the isometric collab?
Post in this thread a maximum of 3 of the available squares in the image below. This will reserve your squares for you.
Finish your entry/entries within the deadline, also listed below. Don't worry, you should have plenty of time!
Finally, all the entries will be gradually placed onto the original image to form a full isometric pixelart image.
Alrighty, with that out of the way, you can also post any questions in the thread here if you have any! Now, let's get out everything else!
Deadline: December 25th, 2012
UPDATE!!!: With the deadline past, here's the new rule,
Quote:
Reservations are no longer, well, reserved. You missed your chance to finish your tile? Better hurry before someone else makes a tile in that same place. I know, it may be a bit mean-spirited, but they had their chance. Besides, if they're fast enough, they might be able to still get it done! ;)
First person to make the tile gets the spot they claim when they post said tile, no exceptions. Good luck to everyone! ;D
Let's get to work, everyone! Hope to see lots of people participate in this! Good luck! :)
Post will be updated with info regarding participants who reserved that finished their tiles on time.

I'd contribute if I knew more what we were doing. Like.... are we spriting the squares? What style, etc.
You're spriting on the squares, so to speak. You're not allowed to go on any squares besides your own (although you can ask a person who has squares near yours reserved for any additional teeny tiny space), so if you plan on spriting anything large, it's best to reserve squares close to each other ^_^
There's no specific style or palette, etc. Just as long as what you sprite has to do with a fangame (or fangames) on MFGG, it's applicable :)

Whoa, mighty impressive! Can't wait to see other entries as well! :D
For anyone wondering, I'll update the collab image every so often, so if your entry isn't on there yet, give it time ^^

here's 58, too. I think I'm done for now, and I'm out of ideas so I'll finish up tomorrow. also I love that goomba, it's probably one of my best goomba sprites, I should probably make it a sheet or something
