[size=200][b][url=http://mfgg.net/index.php?act=resdb&param=02&c=2&id=25812]Bowser's Sky Run[/url] by D-Dazzle[/b][/size] [img]http://i44.tinypic.com/bh2rq.jpg[/img] The winner of the most recent Minigame Competition, Bowser's Sky Run proves to be a simple way to blow some time as you apply turtle pyrotechnics on random Mario enemies while riding in a slightly deranged-looking aircraft. Dazzle's minigame is based on the Clown Car sequences in Toodles Team's Paper Bowser World 3 - you guide Bowser through a mass of flying and jumping enemies, burning some of them with your fireball attack while avoiding those enemies invulnerable to fire. However, besides implementing mouse-based controls, this game adds a twist to fit the competition theme of wind: The Clown Car is strongly affected by the ever-shifting speed and trajectory of the wind currents. These gusts force you to stay alert at all times, since it's easy to get sent flying into an enemy when the wind shifts. Things get even more dangerous as you level up, as enemies become more frequent as well as more dangerous. Bowser's Sky Run also adds a good deal of replay value by employing an online high scores system. There are a few small beefs with the graphics, and the controls can be awkward at times, but all in all it's an enjoyable little minigame.

Wow, didn't see this one coming (untill you told me on Live Messenger, but still :P) I'm really honored to get a game of the month award! Since I didn't expect this game would even win the Minigame Comp, and now this ^^ Also, somewhat related to Bowser World, new updates are coming out soon, and SPBW will be released somewhere in January (after almost a year of production, and 7 engine switches, yes.)

Bowser's Sky Run was a pretty good game, though it is true that most of the games released on the main site last month were demos.
