Dangery Run from the Angry Sun by Mason

Dangery Run from the Angry Sun isn't an extremely flashy or revolutionary game, but it's a very well-executed minigame that's made even more impressive by the fact that it was produced in just a few hours' worth of work as part of the first 24-hour Minigame Competition earlier this month.

In this game, you control Waluigi as he races through the desert, jumping to collect coins while avoiding Francis's Yoshi-like tongue attack, as well as the flames emitted by Francis's pseudo-celestial puppet, The Angry Sun. It takes quite a bit of skill to get a truly perfect score, and with fitting music and OK graphics to boot, this is an MFGG fangame that's well worth playing for a short but well-made burst of fun.

Here's hoping our Minigame Competitions continue to produce interesting and creative works.

Again, sorry for being late - this was because of a lack of motivation to do actual work on anything after feeling bad the past week, not because I'm waiting for the next Minigame Competition voting to finish (which will count for the next month's award).

You can't make a huge deal out of average review scores, especially across large periods of time. Reviews in general are a bit more negative than they were in 2004, and besides that, there aren't enough people who submit a lot of reviews for them to be reliable for comparison purposes.
