I've been working on a comic for quite awhile. I have the plot, setting and most importantly: characters. They all have their own designs and personalities. Here's one question I have: am I legally allowed to use the appearance of a celebrity as a face? I mean, it's not going to be a crazy detailed comic to the point that the likeness of the celebrity will be completely evident. So I'm wondering. Is this legal?

i'm stumped on that question aswell, but as long as you don't put too much detail, i'm sure you're fine.

It's fine to use a variation (i.e. a caricature). Still, don't make it too obvious unless the celebrity in question is cool with it.
