I've been messing around with a little program called OpenMPT or modplug for a little under two years now, and I've made some songs with it. I won't be releasing my older music, so here's some songs I made recently, which will probably never be actually finished. Collab2.mptm was, well, a collab with two of my friends. Some of you might've heard these on Discord before.

Link, because MFGG's video embedding is still broken

Link is the main character of almost every Zelda game, and also directs you to the Youtube page of the above song

I'll be updating this topic periodically as I come up with more stuff. Maybe. Who knows.

Nice stuff! I don't have any profound critique to offer, but I hope you keep making music-y things like this.

Really liking your stuff, it sounds super 80s! Anywho, how do you make the sounds? I heard some voice samples and stuff in there, is it all samples?

Thanks! I have a big library of various samples from various sources. Some are from videos, others are from other songs, etc. I use both samples and a few VSTs for the sounds.

This time, a remix/cover/whatever of Funky's Fugue from Donkey Kong Country!

Vegas made the audio very bassy and reverb-y, so I'd recommend listening to the original MP3 version, downloadable here.

I can upload the original MPTM file as well, if someone is interested.

This time the video is presented with a crappy visualizer instead of a nice recording of the song playing on ModPlug, because XSplit sucks.

This song has way more problems than my last one, but I think that's pretty expected for something that was mainly a testing ground for this many new ideas and instruments. After this, I think I can safely say that I'll limit the heavy metal guitar to a bass/backing instrument in future projects, rather than using it as a lead. It was fun to work on this regardless.

Download the MP3 rendition HERE and for this song only, you can get the full MPTM project with the samples from HERE.
