Yeah, I had a feeling semi-solid platform's design might not have worked too well.  This is an update I did to the tileset that should fix that problem, now it should look more like it's reaching over to the main part of the stage. I also redid the palette  Also, it wasn't Mario's run animation, but his jump animation in the 1st screenshot  and standing animation in the 2nd screenshot. Unless you're referring to Mario's run animation from the sheet. If that's the case, would this change help?

The sheet is finally done I guess!  I added Fire Mario and also an animation for rescuing Peach.  It also works as a head start on a Peach spritesheet if I get around to making one. |

I'm back at it again! I've decided that I'd focus on making more Donkey Kong-related sprites, because I literally don't see enough of them. Right now I'm working on Squawks. The design here is supposed to be a mix of how he looked in the old DKC games and newer ones  You can see the spit animation, but I haven't added the coconut/egg thing that he spits out yet. Here's the sprites on the sheet so you can take a closer look:  I also made an alternate flying animation here where his feet stay in place, for when he's holding people |

These are so incredibly beautiful I'm dying. Really nice screenie up there. I need to hone my skills up. It'd take a lot of practice to ever get as talented as you though! I like all the little details and use of dithering and simple outlines. |

I have to agree that the animation on Squaks is very fluid and captures the character nicely. |

That's an extremely cute Squawks. Don't forget that you can submit it to the mainsite once it's done, since we accept DKC sprites nowadays. |

I'm glad ya'll like it! I've been trying my best to make sure the sprites are as good as I can make them, so there can be more great DKC sprites for people to use. Now, the sheet is basically finished(I'm always open to changing anything)   I slightly changed his beak on the sprite sheet because I thought it looked a little weird. The old beak is still on the animation, but it looks mostly the same anyway.  If you think it should be reverted back though, I can change it. I'll try to submit the sheet to mainsite some other time. |

I've started making DK now! So far I've made a stand and walk animation:    What do you think? This one is gonna take a lot longer; Spriting DK is no joke. But this will definitely be good experience for my animating skills. |

Nice work, my friend, but I feel like the arm mostly obscured by the body is a little limp compared to the arm you can clearly see. |

Yeah, it does look like that, but I thought that's how DK walks. He seems to kind of move one side more than the other.  This animation from Brawl(model by AlGeorgeRomo, BTW) is that way, but I tried to make my animation more like a "smaller" version of that. It probably is a bit off, though. So I'm going to see how I can change it anyway. |

Now that I look at the actual animation for DK, it looks like your version has the hind legs kick off at both the same time when they should be kicking off at different intervals. |

Okay, I've tried redesigning the animation so his arms move equally and legs move completely separately.  Let me know if there's still any other problems, though. I've also added roll and jump animations    I plan on getting at least all of the basic actions from Donkey Kong Country done, with a few extra animations based on Mario games. |
