I LOVE TORADORA![/quote] What you mean by tracing? I've used references for certain characters, and 2 of the drawings are based on existing pictures. Also, I googled Minori Kushieda and I assume the most similar girl to her is the first one of the last drawing. Nope, it's not her. It's Shinobu Oomiya from Kiniro Mosaic. But hey, I take requests. I can draw your requests as long as it's girls with slim body. I've been running out of ideas of what to draw, so I'd be grateful if you suggest me someone to draw.

By tracing I meant using a reference and trying to copy it as well as possible instead of just taking inspiration from it. I traced the first and fourth pictures. That's not Minori, it's Yoko Inokuma. I'll start drawing your suggestions right away. I will post them in Thursday because I need the help of a certain person to mark the drawings with a crayon pencil, and he only goes to the hospital on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Hey hey now, tracing is not the same as copying, DJ Coco, you're confusing things. Tracing is when you put a drawing below a piece of paper and just draw following the lines you can see below. Now, copying is trying to draw only by looking at the picture and trying to draw it as close as possible to the original. Also, copying is the best way to become a better artist, specially if you're into Manga/Japanese style. Lots of Japanese artists says that copying is how they got there, and they incentive it. Of course, when copying you can't go around saying the drawing is yours (though posting it saying it is training is not a problem) Ideally, you should focus on copying a single artist, or few artists with similar styles. Some people think it is plagiarism, but it is not, you use some other artist style as your inspiration, and a way to learn how to draw like them. As you train more, you'll start to develop your own unique style. So no need to force your drawings to be different from your inspiration source when you're a beginner, your own style will come out naturally later.

Well then, I traced nothing. Only copied. I finished drawing the suggestions. That looks pretty cool! I especially like the hands you gave my character, those look really professional. The shoes, however, could need some work (on all of the drawings). Other than that, the lineart is a bit sloppy, but otherwise everything's pretty good.

yeah my line art is sloppy because the guy from the hospital only wants to mark 1 drawing for me a day, and the rest i have to do it myself, and i'm not very good at that, also the feets aren't very good because i need better references for feets. how does my style change at each drawing?

Sometimes the hands look realistic, while in other drawings they don't feel as much realistic. Same goes for hair and others. I'm not criticizing it, it's just something weird that differs the style between each drawing.

Oh, I thought you were talking about the eyes, because they can be very different in style sometimes :p

When you're just starting, it's normal that the style will be inconsistent, there is nothing wrong with that. By the way, have you ever considered getting a graphics tablet? This way you can draw directly on your computer. It's better because you can fix things easily, and never run out of pencil/pen/paper. I don't know how much it costs in Chile, but I'd recomend you get a Wacom, the basic ones (I don't know what the newer ones are, but I've got a Wacom Bamboo Connect and I think it's pretty good) And if Wacom is too expensive in Chile, you can get the cheaper ones too, they're not as comfortable as a Wacom but they do their job.

Ohhh I really want one of these, but I have two things to buy first: a violin and a new screen for my phone :p

I have a Wacom drawing tablet I never use. I guess I should sell it but I don't think shipping overseas is a very bright diea.
