There is a lot of art topics here, so I decided to make one too. So I can get criticism for my art, and improve them. Especially for my games, which will have custom sprites.

Right now, I have made a Boo sprite sheet, which even includes the pallet's for the Boo's from the minigame, "You vs. Boo".

Goomba's teeth are usually on the edges of his mouth, and his frown is a little too tall. Also, the squish sprite looks funny, as iff the body/feet weren't squished too. Other than that, it looks pretty good :agree:.

EDIT: There, I updated the sprite sheet. I'll show it down here so you guys can compare it the original one (which is in my previous post of this topic).
I'll upload this to the main site later, so I can get some criticism from you people.

The side spikes on the pokey's head looks more like horns (Could be that it looks odd with the green background.)... and their closed mouth looks a bit weird. In fact, I don't think pokeys ever closed their mouths.

Yeah, I agree on the head's side spikes. It's just so hard for me to make them look right, but I'll try to improve it.

EDIT: I changed the Pokey's side spikes (in the head) and it's closed mouth, what do you think?

If you are familiar with pipes and plants, then I think you know who I am spriting right now. It's Piranha Plant! :D It's even brought with the Venus Fire Trap, along with green and underground palletes! :soveryhappy:

Er, it looks okay except for the sideways headed piranha plant. They they put their mouth in that direction the stem bends a little like so.

Also, the piranha plant looks a little like pac-man when it ends 180 degrees. Couldn't find an image ref for it, but when their head is squished like that it bends out a little, I believe. Are you looking at image references while doing these sprites? They come in handy and can avoid mistakes like this.

Always room for improvement...

Thanks, it shouldn't be that hard for me to do the sideways plant. :D

Though, by 180 degrees, do you mean the wide-open mouth or it's closed mouth? Anyway, I do use image references a little, but maybe I should use them more often.

Sorry for double posting, but none of you guys seem to notice when I edit my posts. So I updated my Piranha Plant by changing it stem in the sideway sprites. But I still need to figure out what does Xandalf mean by 180 degrees.

Looks a bit funny, as if the stem were just pushed by the head. Maybe make the head forward more?

The only reason I know that he has a nose is because I know that Mario is supposed to have one. Either make it stick out more or shade it.
