To my knowledge, there is opportunity for Tattie to be either male or female depending on back story and overall role in the game's plot. Just thought I'd throw that in there since he didn't seem to mention that. :P

Tattie is probably one of those characters where gender is open to interpretation and debate like Vivian (PM:TYD) or Birdo.
But yeah it might lean one way or the other depending on backstory.

Um, Wacom Intuos Pro? Because you do have a drawing tablet, and this looks like it was made by that program. But it looks, expect that they way he holds the bat is weird.

Yeah I usually don't know what I'm doing when it comes to hands and hands holding things so I usually just use balls instead of hands.
Also thus why I used gloves.

Edit: I drew it in GIMP, but scaled it down.
Maybe drawing programs aren't distinguishable when you do that sort of thing.

@102: I've also taken our entire conversation into account. I'm trying to work out what the best solution is right now for the entire project.

Also Defiant suggested a design without pants- should there be?
(Also I think a poll for designs may be approaching soon.)


Edit: I know these designs are starting to stray from the traditional mario ones.
I can't really say much else other than some of these designs- they're the first iteration. Of course I got attached to them and saw them as pretty complete.
The point of posting a lot of this was to get feedback on the designs in order to make improvements, especially on the bounty hunter dog.

Some things that I'm not quite finished with yet, but enjoy!

(The colored blocks are the music block variants of the note blocks, in case you're wondering.)

I also threw in the SMB2 veggies (and then some more veggies) into the note/music block clipboard because I was demonstrating both at the same time, and separating them takes a few more equally unproductive minutes out of my day.
Note: The veggies are still unfinished at the moment, as I plan on spriting some expressions as well.

Hm, apparently I went through a phase where I typed like mit.

Anyhow, it's time for maybe a revival of the topic with redesigned villains.

The middle form looks kinda weird to me, I might redraw that later on. And several other villains I want to put in my fangame someday.

(The image as whole looks weird because I basically re-arranged the entire image after scanning it because there's a bunch of extra crap on the same paper. It was also terribly organized.)
