Well I was searching around and I found the hello engine 4. Then I thought to myself, "Wow, you could make a real SMB3 game with this." Then I got an idea. What if I made a replica of SMB3, but with NSMB (and NSMBW) graphics and custom power ups? And a NEVER SEEN BEFORE EXTRA (not custom levels, but similar to that).

So, I can easily make the levels, and I've got the engine, but I need some resources. This is what I need:
:) Mario in his suits form SMB3 (and maybe some in the hello engine)
:) Power ups
:) Enemies, including bosses and those weird ones that have never come back
:) Note blocks
:) P switches and that
:) Yoshi and Goomba's shoe
:) Backgrounds

:) Sound effects
:) I've got some music, but if you know any really good music I would love to know about it
:) P switch and toad house tunes

I'd love it if you could help me get this stuff! If it is not on the list (like tilesets), chances are I've already got them.
This is my first post, so if I've done anything wrong, can you please not be mean to me ;)

Remaking a real Mario game with new graphics is kind of pointless, considering how much work it would take to redo something someone else has already made. And considering my experiences making Revenge of the Walrus, the New SMB Wii tilesets aren't exactly user-friendly and aren't easy to find sprites to match the tiles.

Instead, why don't you just make a game with original levels and add new power-ups and features to those in the Hello Engine? I think that would be a lot more interesting and would give you a lot more room for creativity and originality than remaking the original SMB 3.

Not to mention that reproducing an existing game would certainly bother Nintendo more than an original fan project, which might lead to a C&D letter from them, and nobody really wants that.

As you said, you have the engine, you can design levels, and you plan doing new stuff, so make a new and original game. People will love it.

OK, I guess I will do that then. Thanks! :D

You can close the topic, if that is the kind of thing you do here.
