Is there any working way to obtain Game Maker 7 Pro anymore? There's something I want to do that involves using video files, and I hate seeing that stupid X in the top-right corner when Game Maker 8 Pro plays videos (which isn't present in GM7)

I'm by no means a Game Maker buff, I've used it like twice. But maybe there's a way to hide the X?

If there is a way to hide the X, that'd be great. But as far as I know, there's no such option in GM8.

Honestly, your best bet would be to ask on the YoYoGames forums, and stress that you would pay asking price for a license. I don't think they've honored similar requests in the past, but who knows?

Game Maker: Studio can't even be purchased anymore, much less GM Legacy. You'll need Game Maker Studio 2 if you want pro functionality. (actually, it's not even called "pro" anymore they renamed it to "standard")
