I am using Gamemaker Studio v1.4.1657 because I am trying to test a project on Android TV and the newest 1.4 builds give an "Incorrect Android target" error when testing the APK on my Nvidia Shield TV. Your best bet would probably be to ask for help over at the GMC (forum.yoyogames.com) or contacting YoYoGames directly.

That's what I did and I haven't had anybody say anything so I thought I would come here. It's a really annoying issue because it works on a newer gamemaker studio version but on that version Android TV dies not work. :/

Chances are even slimmer someone here would be able to help you - maybe Hypernova has some advice. Are you sure your version does support Android TV if a newer version works? If you didn't contact the support yet, I'd suggest you do that, though they take a while to respond.

I am not 100% sure it does but I looked at the changelog for Gamemaker Studio and at one point it states that Android TV does not work. I got the version before this version and I know that it has worked in the past since this one Mario game called Super Mario Bros Ultra runs fine on the shield with no error.

I remember about someone having the same issue in YoyoGames forums. It turns out they just didn't care to fix it. lol typical yoyogames
