I found this a couple days ago and it is what any Game Maker developer would want: a room editor that is way better than the built-in one!

This editor contains:
-Export to a Game Maker project
-Import your objects from a Game Maker project
-Automatic drag-and-place brush without a key combination
-Brushes that allow you to place many tiles together without combining them as one object
-A Blocks tool that allows you to place a tile with an object automatically spawning with it
-Select a portion of the level and reposition it
This makes level creation over twice as fast!
There are only a few limitations. I don't think you can put a background in the room. Luckily, it only takes a few clicks to do so in Game Maker. Also, it can only use one tileset/background per room. Finally, you cannot IMPORT a room, so this editor works best when it's easy to make a template room each time. But this pales in comparison to how useful it is!
