It's been a while since I used Game Maker: Studio. Anyways for those who run Game Maker: Studio on Windows 10 platform, you may experience crash (error reporting window) right after the program is launched. Here's the fix: [list][*]Turn off any internet connection [*]Open Game Maker: Studio [*]Go to File > Preferences... [*]Under General tab, uncheck any option that show news [*]Restart Game Maker: Studio and turn on the connection [*]It should be fixed at this point but [u]do no open "news" with Game Maker: Studio while the internet is on[/u][/list] It might be an issue that Game Maker: Studio's news box. It uses the Internet Explorer wrapper (which IE is no longer supported on Windows 10) to loading up news website that contains some JavaScript codes that IE has trouble running. That's not a proper fix. That's a workaround. The issue is with Windows and not GM. Microsoft pushed an update on the 30th of December which causes this issue. The actual fix is uninstalling the latest Security update from Microsoft that crashes Gamemaker and some versions of Skype as well. It's Security Update code KB3132372. [quote] 1.
