That's true, but at least we give credit to Nintendo and put freeware disclaimers in our software.

I never said we should do it.

I don't think it is a good idea to use LAW for this issue, because as has been said repeatedly, what we're doing isn't legal either. We're just lucky that Nintendo tolerates it.

How about a list of reported forgeries on the main site?

Weve already confirmed one jerk,
We need to warn people about this one.

And I can help with a couple of tricks to keep disclaimers and credits from being easily hacked with a hexadecimal editor.

well another issue is that this guy seems to have multiple websites; the one linked in the original, an apparent sister site hosted on a separate server, and then Mariocity.com

so if we were to do anything, we'd have to repeat the process three times, which would be tedious

besides, the place is definitely one of those shady low-looking bad-english places anyways, so... i think i'd have to go with Nite here and make sure you put disclaimers on your games; at least Psycho Waluigi works, because it shows MFGG as a splash screen and absolutely nothing about that website

Midas Machine is also using the MFGG logo and disclaimer.
I should put into the disclaimer that the game is made exclusively for download from MFGG. The only real damage that could happen to us is if people download it and think the malware comes from here.
Also I don't think anybody (of importance) thinks that buziol made those games, and they're all aware that he stole them from somewhere.

All-righty. Here are all of the sites this 'Buziol' guy is hosting fake games on:

www.softendo.com
www.buziol.pl
www.mario-city.com

Please let me know if you find more sites, I'll add them to the first post (wich is now edited, btw)

I don't think they're all hosted by buziol, as mariocity openly admits they're stealing the games from softendo.

I wonder if it might be possible to get a C&D order on them... if that was possible, then they would have to comply. And, if they failed to do so, they would end up in legal trouble.

...but that's wishing too much.

You took my posts out of context there. I had seen that post, but like I said after the main bit that you quoted - and this is the important bit:

ah2190 wrote:

I said that because a) using LAW would most likely be out of the question, (Especially after what that post said) and b) even if it was, it's highly unlikely that we COULD get a C&D order made in the first place.

I think im going to take a break from my game to work on a disclaimer encryption tutorial for construct and click.

----edit----
this is getting me nowhere, my idea of using an image works better than encrypting the text. :nope:

Every single one of you involved in a forum raid can expect heavy warning points from me.

Also it is NOT a good idea to start a fight with their community, because in the end, THEY will do more to take us down than we would be willing to do, especially morally.

I honestly think the best course of action here is to post a list or reported fangame theif websites, encourage more detailed disclaimers, and take precautions to keep them from being hacked.

at least that way, we:
A: are not breaking any rules,
B: are not breaking any LAWS
c: are actually doing something in response to the holes found.

Also, a FORUM RAID would be nothing more than sticking your dick into a nest of hornets.
not a good idea

I understand everyone is rather pissed.
put please, we need to be rational about this.

That sort of reply can be ruled out - I still haven't received any reply.
