This game is a remake of the classic Charlie the Duck game for DOS, a Mario clone made by Mike Wiering/Wiering Software. I take the classic formula with the nostalgic graphics and sound effects and add various new elements to make this game exciting once more!

So awesome!
Engine is perfect.
But I have some suggestions:
-Charlie the Duck original sound effects are made with MIDI. I ripped the sounds from Wiering Software flash games and the 2008 release of Charlie II, I will post later on MFGG and here.
-I also ripped the sprites from Charlie II, like the coins, diamonds, enemies, etc, and even the hud. Here it is:

-If you like, I could remaster the original Charlie II Soundtrack, which in my opinion would fit better than 8-bit music.

Other than that, it's perfect. You could make way for Charlie III, what if you could even make an agreement with Mike Wiering and even sell?

EDIT: This game is perfect but I think you should change the music. Also I think you shouldn't use Charlie II graphics because this is a Charlie I clone. Also why this game has pipes?

Those were just suggestions, of course, if she wants this to be a Charlie I Clone, ok, but if she wants it to be some kind of special Charlie the Duck game, She could use the more recent graphics. And I agree with you about changing the music. It would be better to use MIDIs because they were the ones used in most old DOS games (and Charlie II) (but just if you want it to be a retro clone)

@ lu9: I use Charlie I graphics, because I prefer the original Charlie over Charlie II, and I personally like the graphics more than the more recent ones.
I also don't really like Charlie II's music, so I decided to collect some 8-bit music which in my opinion fits better. But if you all think it's worse, I'll see what I can do.

Also, yeah, I'm aware of that, which is also a reason why I added the pipes here.

Just asking, are you going to include some elements from Super Angelo or Sint Nicolaas?

I ripped it from the Mario DOS game :P Took an eternity until I got the game running on my PC just to get the piranha sprite and the pipes ^^

Also, new demo is up with some bugfixes, slightly reworked 1-1, and also a fully playable World 1-2.

This is why the music doesn't fit:
-Charlie the Duck is not an 8-bit game
-Chiptunes aren't the most likely music to appear in a game like this, it should have calmer music, like in Charlie II

of course it's up to you to decide if you'll keep it or not

Anyways I liked level 1-2

Looks pretty good so far. There is one thing that needs to be fixed is Boss Health Bar, the boss health bar is quite hard to see. Try adding some sort of border around the bar or make it bigger.
