I coded various new enemies:
Shroob Ufo (thanks goes to LarsLuron). I also almost finished the Shroobs themselve. I just need to make them taunt. At least, I already have the needed sprites.
Blazing Shrooms and Shroom Rexes
Birabuto Enemies (excluding Nokobons, which I already have coded before)
Goodbye.
Woah there buddy! slow down a tick, you just triple posted in under 5 minutes.
This does look like an interesting idea,
Though hello engine is generally not advised in most games, seems you may well be on the path to using it properly. the moment of truth their will be in seeing how it plays out.

Thanks. I'm currently working on the boss of World 1-6, who will be the first Touhou character, which you will have to fight. I will release the first demo, if I have at least finished World 1 (it consists of 10 levels plus an NPC town). Also, if I have finished World 1, then I also have to make additional stuff like externalizing music (though there I would be forced to ask someone else to do this, since I fear that I could screw up something horribly like I somehow did with the quicksand ).

Always have a Shy-Guy in your avatar
At least you seem to be changing some things with the Hello Engine. Since you're using a character who looks a lot different from Mario, you'd be wise to adjust her mechanics and give her some distinctive power-ups, lest this turn into one of the other Hello Engine games starring a "fish-out-of-water" fan character. Improving the clashing graphics is also advised.

Well, I can already tell you that the Rocket Tank graphic has been already changed, so the screenshot showing the Rocket Tank is rather outdated. Also, while Marisa does have Mario's spinjump, she still can shoot her trademark Starbursts. And the other playable character, Alice, will have a Luigi-like Flutter Jump instead of a spinjump and her laser from Imperishable Night and MegaMari (which will be a hell to code). Abuot power-ups, I planned to add something similar to these Super Copy Abilities from Kirby's Return to Dreamland, but Mariofied. The power-ups will be based of these from various Mario games, but -they will be timed now -they contain a super powerful attack -the stage with the super power-up will also have a hidden entrance to the subspace emmisary, which needs to be found through that super powerful attack At the moment, none of these power-ups have been made yet. Not even graphics-wise. I first want to finsh the main level layout of every World 1 stage and also some bosses anyway.

Thanks, it worked! Okay, first poll is up. Which suit should be Marisa's "Fire Flower"-typed Super Item? There are two options:
-Reimu: There are several reasons, why I choose that as an option: 1. Albeit NOT being a fire-typed Touhou character, she has as a fire-typed spellcard as her only elemental attack (characters like Patchouli and Mima have multiple elemental attacks). The Fantasy Orb is basically Reimu shooting 6 explosive mulitcolored fireballs. 2. Marisa had a Reimu suit in New Super Marisa Land.
-Yuki: http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Yuki Together with Mai, she is the boss of the Fourth Stage of Mystical Square (thanks goes to Vaike at Super Mario Boards for giving me the idea). That could work too, because: 1. She IS a fire-typed Touhou character 2. She bears a strong resemblance with Marisa, allowing me to just recolor the Marisa sprite for that suit.
Eitherway, this poll will last 5 days. Until then, happy voting!

Total: Reimu - 7 Yuki - 4 Looks like Reimu won. However, there could still be a possibilty that Yuki could make some kind of appearance. Eitherway, stay tuned.
Okay, all polls are closed now. Here are the results:

Hmmm... you completely threw out the possibility of Mokou, who is the Immortal Charcoal Pheonix of Gensoko.
She could probably appear as a boss, that's why I left her out as a possibilty. Same goes for Utsohu. The idea of making Yuki a possible boss candidate came actually very late, when the poll was almost over. But I need to finish World 1 first, before I can talk about Touhou bosses in later worlds. Only most of World 1 and only small bits of other worlds are finalized in terms of plans at the moment. Many things still may be subject of changes. However, what I can do is saying the themes of the Switch Palaces: Yellow (World 1): ??? Red (World 2): ??? Green (World 3): Snake Blocks Blue (World 4): Ice themed Orange (World 5): Ocean themed Black (World 6): Pipe Maze and technology Purple (World 7): Subspace Emmisary What I can also say, is that every Switch Palace will be guarded by a Touhou boss. Other then that, stay tuned.

May I ask a question? When will there be a playable demo because I like the idea and I can't wait for an demo to come. If there is a set date or not that's alright.

There will be one, if I have finished the first world. And if I have found someone, who is willing to externalize the music for me. And with every world I have finished, I will make a new demo.
